Citizens of New Zealand are also eligible for the award of numerous UK orders, decorations and medals; although the establishment of purely New Zealand awards as detailed above is designed to replace many of the UK awards previously used. Holders of UK awards may continue to wear them and use the associated titles and postnominal letters.
